It is so close to the end of the school year, and it's about that time when students really need a good art lesson to help maintain focus ....so there is nothing better than a sewing project!
Right now, it seems the new craze among the kids is Among Us. So I thought, what better than for 4th and 5th grade students to create their very own Among Us Softies! The students are absolutely falling in love with their work.
For this sewing lesson, students learned how to catch stitch the body together. They used a ladder stitch to attach the space pack on the back. I let the students decide if they wanted to stitch the face mask on and stuff it for a bubble affect or hot glue it in place. This lesson really has the kids excited. They can not wait to take home their softies!
