Valentines is just around the corner.
3rd - 4th grade made these great flying pattern hearts.
We talked about symmetry. I showed students a simple way to create a symmetrical heart. They used oil pastels to add beautiful patterns to them. Then students created symmetrical wings and pasted them on. They turned out great.
Posting them on black poster board really made their colors pop.
It was pretty fun listening to the students be so excited to see their flying hearts. They turned out great!
