Kindergarten Fall Inspired Ceramic Trays & Bowls

Kindergarten made these fun ceramic trays and bowls.

First students started off by imprinting a leaf to their clay.

I  cut PVC pipes down to about 5 inches for students to use as rolling dowels.

Students rolled their dowel over a leaf, back and forth, to make an imprint.

Then using old pencils, Students cut a circle or round shape around their print.

With wax paper they slumped their work over small plastic bowls.

We let them get bone dry, fired, and had fun experimenting with glazing.

Some students traced their leaf with one color glaze and then glazed with another.

Some of the leaf imprints got lost in the color. However, I think they all came out so beautiful. All really unique and fun.

Surely a treasure that students and parents can enjoy.

Such Fun Colors!

Lovely colors and textures.

The students were really excited to take these home.
