1st Grade Rousseau Animals

 1st Grade Rousseau Animals

1st Grade is learning about the life and art of  Henri Rousseau.

Students created these delightful animal collages using mix media oil pastel, tempera cakes, and variety of colored paper.

Students are learning to draw big compositions.
They are also learning how to create organic shapes found in nature.
Once their animal was drawn and colored/ painted, students overlapped organic shapes around their
animal as if it was peeking out of it's habitat.

They did a fantastic job!

Too sweet!
